Our Strategy
Stambecco Holdings is not a trading operation. We are a holding company. We acquire ownership in a small number of overlooked companies we understand deeply, and we intend to own them for years — not days.
We concentrate where attention is thin: small- and micro-cap companies trading well below what a patient owner would pay for the whole business. Neglect is where value hides, and it is the ground we choose to work.
Every position is earned through exhaustive, first-principles research — financial statements read line by line, industries understood from the ground up, and management scrutinized. We invest only when the work justifies conviction, and we size accordingly.
As a holding company, our instinct is to buy and hold rather than trade. We think in years and business cycles, letting compounding and sound businesses do the work that constant activity cannot.
Why the Ibex
Stambecco is the Italian word for the alpine ibex — the wild mountain goat that lives where almost nothing else will venture. It moves with certainty along sheer rock faces and narrow ledges at altitudes that turn back every other animal, finding footing on terrain the rest of the world writes off as impassable.
That is how we think about investing. The best opportunities are rarely found on the open, crowded ground. They are found in the difficult, overlooked, and thinly traveled corners of the market — the small and forgotten names that most investors will not climb toward. Like the ibex, we are built for that terrain: sure-footed, deliberate, and patient enough to endure the long ascent that value demands.
